That's awesome, jezdep. As I mentioned originally, I probably wouldnt've refin'd the top as you did, but I really like what you did, and if it made the guitar sing better then you made the right decision!

And, DEFINITELY put the guard back on!!!!! Looks much better with it.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the input. I was a little surprised by how natural that guard looked when I dropped it on, so it's in play. The guitar is still waiting for a couple more lacquer coats and a buff out, but it certainly sounds better with a light top. It's also getting into reset territory, including building up the bridge thickness to get the specs back into range. I have some matching BRW scraps to laminate, but I have to find someone who isn't intimidated by a Hobo Guild neck job.
