Just heard about this...2 more at around 6 magnitude, a church collapsed don't know much more...what a drag....those folks have had enough already...probably Coastie will let us know what is going on....do what you can....Steffan

Such mental anguish, over and over again. There are significant tracts of land in Christchurch where re-building will never take place because of the liquefaction factor. In fact, there are substantial sections of the CBD where clearing / demolition hasn't even begun yet. There's still an inner-city " Red Zone " where the public and owners of buildings may not go. A great many building owners are very antsy about this restriction still being in place. They may now have a better understanding of why that restriction is in effect !!

I haven't been to Christchurch since before the first quake and, I don't want to. I know that I'd cry-baby.
