Basically, after you get the foam out, you need to realign the bridge so that the two e strings are in tune at the 12th fret. It should be about the same spot that it is now. After tuning the open strings, check the tuning at the 12th fret. if it is now sharp, the bridge will need to move towards the tailpiece; if its too flat, closer to the neck. It will be a balancing act to get both string in tune, every time you move one side of the bridge, the other will shift a little. Keep going until they are both in tune.I slept well. It will help if the other 4 strings are a little slack, so that only the e strings are in tension holding the bridge down. After the e strings are correct, tune the other 4 strings as normal; don't try to tune their 12th frets.
