It's Cordoba - they will call it an M-40R. :geek:
Would at least not match their own published naming chart:

Beautiful, JZ...The SM was my dream guitar for many years. I finally settled on the OM-120, though, and I've never regretted it. If I could change anything about it, it would be to change the high-gloss to satin.

It really is a good guitar it has great overtones and sustain . If anyone wants to hear it I think I posted in members music . Let’s just hope I don’t talk to much . Lol

saw i missed a couple more of your questions...apples to apples a Guild will sound much closer to a Gibson in tone, to me these are the most natural sounding acoustics. To me, Martins really sound like Martins, and Taylors really sound like Taylors. I am with you, in that most of the time, Taylor would not be my personal choice, for myself to play. i would do some homework on the necks of these guitars and figure out as best u can, what your preference would be. *the new Oxnardian M-20 has a significantly wider and fatter neck than any M-20 run prior to it, from the mid-1950's thru 2016.* I am no Martin expert but imagine the neck on a 00-15 to be a medium carve with a more narrow nut (and strings closer together). how big are your hands/fingers?

the cool thing about the Guild M-20 and F-20, is if you play standing up with the guitar strapped on, and 11 gauge strings...it really feels like you are playing an electric guitar. it feels a lot more like that than just about any acoustic guitar. but the sound obviously is all acoustic, and all the feels that come with that mix of electric playability and acoustic tone is a difficult feeling to convey, without experiencing it for yourself. I will never sell that first F-20 i bought, ever. Not sure if the Martin OO crosses that same line as a Guild F-30 which feels more like a small acoustic than an electric when standing. My guess is the Guild M-20 and F-20 are the only ones that really have that electric feel when standing and strapped. just thinking out loud...but they are truly amazing when standing (the Guilds)

Thanks a lot for your time and your advice!!! Really im a Gibson guy, i like the warm and woody tone of Gibson acoustics. But the problem with Guilds is i cant find any Guild guitar in my area, only Martins and Gibsons! what are the best models in Guild catalogue for singer songwriter in your opinion? I didnt know the F20 model anyway.
I think im gonna buy the Martin 0015m cause is the only in the shop, Guild isnt in stock. I like the sound of the Guild m20 in the videos i saw but for buy it its dfficult without play. Really i want a small body a hog because i love the warm woody sound of them, you talked before about slightly differences between the guild m20 and the Martin 0015, really what qualities i lose if i buy the Martin? My hands are small size and my fingers too.
Curious u talk about electric guitar, i only play acoustic guitar and always i think about what would be the best electric guitar for an acoustic guy, any advice?
Sorry for all my questions and thanks a lot for your help.

Just go for the Martin if u found one in a shop that you like...and you have smaller hands/fingers and cannot try the Oxnard Guild M-20 first...try to talk yourself out of buying the Martin, don't try to talk yourself into it...if that makes any sense...if it feels right...buy it.

As for an electric that could go a lot of ways. i'd focus on the acoustic first, once that is happily in the stable, circle back here for an electric thread. I will say don't buy one with a floating bridge or arch top tailpiece, for a first electric guitar. I will also happily give u amp advice- buy a Fender Blues Jr. Tweed or Pro Jr. Tweed!

If you want more midrange cutting power, get the 0015M. The 00015SM has more bass, but excellent balance from treble to bass. It will also be louder than the 0015M. Finally, the 00015SM has a 12-fret neck so if you play above the 12th fret often, the 0015 might be a better choice. I really like the 00015SM because of the tonal balance, volume and versatility (it is great for flat picking and finger style).

cesar I had misread that as ooo-15M. the ooo-15SM has the slotted headstock, and is a 12 fretter. those used to have a high gloss finish, not sure about the current/newest ones. in fact the older ones had a spruce top with high gloss mahogany shaded finish, if i remember correctly. i cant remember if that was a OO or OOO, i may need to take a ride around town and see if one if those is still lingering. a 12 fret guitar is totally different than a 14 or higher. but if u like it, those are really nice! ill poke around this weekend and see if i can find a glossy one.

There is also the Jeff Tweedy models, those are super nice. a lot more money. and the OO rosewood (Martins)
