Hey Chaz, I'll have to get back to you on that, I'm at Mama ' Strang's in GA until the middle of the month. She kayaks, swims, golfs, plays serious classical literature on piano, plays bridge, does crosswords (in ink) and in general refuses to act her age (93). Mme ' Strang and I always come for the 4th, and with Mama ' Strang's neighbors we put on a three-house block party at her lakefront home on Lake Peachtree SW of Atlanta. Fireworks over the water, man. Anyway, veering back, it may be hard to capture the flame in a photo because the neck is stained very dark to match the rosewood. It's there, but it's very hard to see. My G-312 is the same way. I don't know if I can show you flame, but there is blonde wood on either side of the dark center strip. I had a little delamination problem years ago, and never bothered to retouch the color once my luthier and I were sure it was stabilized. I'll try to put up some pix when I get back to CA.
