M85 II set up

I recently acquired a 1974 M85 II. I have searched for set up specs for the bass to no avail. Has anyone done a set up on one and would anyone share their string preferences. I am currently using LaBella Med Scale Flats .104 - .043. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard. Can`t help with the specs as a M85 is still on my wishlist.
There are more than a few owners onlist though, I`m sure they`ll be along shortly. In any case, just throw on a set of TI flats and set it how you like it.

Welcome. I'm afraid I've never seen any specs and probably wouldn't know what to do with them. I pretty much just lower the bridge plate until I start getting noise and then tweak the saddles for intonation. And, of course, I have gotten in trouble by generalizing from my SF and JS to a M-85.

P.S. I'm still happy with the D'Addario Chromes on my Starfire although I suspect the JS II would be a better comparison.
