I liked small body size and playability of my NS M-75, but I couldn't bond with the bright, high output pickups (and I like bright pickups). If the pickup height was adjustable, I would have simply lowered them a few millimeters and all would have been fine. That's one thing I don't like about Franz pickups - you can raise them with shims, but you cannot lower them. Still, I was able to take the edge off by fitting a rosewood saddle and using flatwounds.

Well you can... To lower the pickups you could simply take a sharp (!) chisel or a Dremel router and take a bit of the wood away, so the pickup sits lower in the cutout. Sure that is not a solution everyone is willing or able to take on...
But it is easy to do on the neck pickup routing and slightly more difficult on the bridge pickup routing.

This is my go-to unplugged sofa guitar. Love it because I can play it acoustically, and it's so light and playable.

“Thus ends the great ball boy experiment…” (Seinfeld quote). Well I’m returning. Guitar center as usual fails. Tone knob doesn’t work and rather give me back some money they just taking return.

Impressions….not bad. Korean made, decent quality. I’ll probably get another one….since i can’t afford a vintage .

I just picked one up an hour ago, locally, for cheap. So they pop up every now and then. Love this one! So deals are out there if you are patient....you just have to be ready!

Are *all* of the Aristocrats semi-hollow inside? Just the Korean ones? Just the Goldtop ones?
I'd like to find one as light as my vintage DuoJet so any tips are appreciated!

The Korean M-75 is completely hollow. The MIC Aristocrat HH and Aristocrat P90 are chambered.

Ok i got another used one. Much better. Private seller. He changed the volume knobs but gave me originals. Gotta change back. Had to throw in new Chuck Berry shirt. I’m a nerd
