Chicago of course
Just picked up a used unit off CraigsList here in Chicago (thanks, Scott!). Any tips or links would be greatly appreciated. So far, I've pressed "record" and played a few songs, but advice on how to transfer to Audacity or whatever would be much appreciated!

I don't know first hand about the M-Audio, but I would suggest at least to press "Stop" sometime soon or you're going to have a lot of unwanted stuff on there.

Actually, here is the M-Audio site.

According to the Support info the file should automatically be recorded in wav or mp3 format, your choice there. I would assume that it came with a usb cable, therefore it should be visible to your computer system when connected, so transfer should be drag and drop.

From there it's just a matter of remembering where you dropped it and open it into Audacity for further "tweaking".
