Just finished taking my T 5 for a run. Instructor insists I use it for lessons. I have it strung with flatwounds & it's slick, some fun to learn new licks on.
Just lately I've begun to appreciate it. This is one freaking cool guitar, I've played it thru my instructors vintage Twin, played it thru my JC 90, played it thru a 50.00 battery powered mini amp & today I was playing it thru my Trace T100 acoustic amp.
Sounds just great thru all of em, different but respectable on every one
Thin neck, short scale, 5 settings for the pickups, especially likes the acoustic microphone thru the Trace, does OK with the humbuckers too.
Inspiration came to me from the ether earlier, moved what I was practicing in "Em" to "D" & had it cooking darn bluesy for about 30 minutes, some fun.
I recommend acoustic players, next time your at Guitar Center, plug one of theirs in to an acoustic amp & give it a go.
Still GASS'in for an archtop; however the T5's alleviating bit of the urgency.
