Re: Lost a friend
Given that a majority Guild lovers lean towards acoustic music, this won't be everyone's cup of tea.
Margot live on some incongruous TV show:

Youtube doesn't seem to find her videos easily, if you search try adding Esplanade Live and Koppes (guitarist). Margot always wanted to do a rooftop concert but chose RMIT university during class changeover...
I'll keep this factual: Sleeping with the Lion was her first album and about the time it was released her EMI signer/manager died of a heart attack. There was a re-shuffling of management and apparently the new people had no clue what she was and what to do with her. What was quite a commercial album and might have been a hit flopped, although she took it in stride and was enthusiastic about her second album. She was never mainstream anyway. She was a nominated for an ARIA (Aussie Grammy) for Best New Talent. Second album was recorded during a time of descent into medicine abuse shared with others. The album is appropriately named. There was a period in the desert before she got to work on her third album, Inhumaninane, still yet to be released. I've heard a cut and it is a dark rainbow of tragedy, beauty, despair and love, like Margot's life. Made all the more stark by a terminal diagnosis of liver damage. She could have gone far and lived long and I would have loved to hear her sing of joy. The funeral was lots of sadness and a great night with old and dear friends - she'd have been very pleased.
Margot felt a great affinity for Kate Bush
