Hello everyone,
I recently inherited this beautiful guitar from my granddad. Unfortunately, he passed and no one in the family knows anything factual about it.
I am having trouble finding info on it. All I know is the model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 760E1192-9119-4BAF-8449-EFD837544135.jpeg4FBF4602-A9E6-4677-961F-7419EA83C041.jpeg087EB8D2-EFA8-4DCD-9516-B34C7F586B1E.jpegA78B6897-F728-428A-93CC-640D7AB67D28.jpeg886130DC-7502-424E-9F9F-6E46BCE03776.jpeg

Hello.
That is a 1965. Very nice condition. A very desirable guitar!

Yep, and despite what people said on Facebook I believe those are the original pups, but others can confirm.

Yes, Guild made pickups, original to that model and vintage. (see Hans' book page 32)

Here's one with the same pickups:

And this one, which was sold at Gryphons, is just two (!) serial numbers younger (45298), so from the same batch in 1965:

........ but that one does not have the same pickups; or at least they have something else 'under the hood'!

Take a closer look!

Non-adjustable pole pieces?
Oh! I didn't look that close! Those little but important details! That's interesting! Thanks for pointing that out. So the right one is original and the left one from Gryphons has something else inside and also non-original height adjustment screws.

Looks like it. Hans probably knows and will tell us when he stops being mysterious :)

The "Hagstrom" pickups are very dark so I can imagine someone wanting something brighter in there, and magnetic polepiece pickups usually are

Hans - I have a ‘67 T - 100 that needs some work. Mainly, new pots and selector switch. I know that you are very big in the world of Guild and was wondering if you know of any place in IL that works on Guild guitars.

Thanks...J.

The originals (right picture) were not Hagström made but Guild made! Or maybe you knew that as you set "Hagstrom" in quotation marks...

Sorry to interrupt, did you check with CME?

Hi Ralf

Yes, for some reason they are sometimes referred as Hagstrom pups, as I think they were also used on Hagstrom models.

Thanks, Ralf, I will have to reach out to them when I get a chance.
