Not sure what you mean by crossover, but a great tune in open G is "Iolanthe" from James McMurtry's Where'd You Hide the Body album. It's not fingerpicked but it could be.

Seems to me a lot of John Fahey and Leo Kottke songs are in open G.

Thanks. By crossover, a plectrum picked song that translates to fingerpicking well. Black Crowes comes to mind.
