Howdy folks! Bought my first Guild (D-50) in 1988 after graduating from the University of Iowa. Got my first paycheck and went straight to the Soundpost in Evanston, IL. I had the shop owner play several guitars off the wall while my back was turned. My ears led me to a shoot-out between rosewood & maple. Chose the rosewood. I think it was around $750 back then(?).... Also have a 1985 F-512.

Tremendous amount of guitar knowledge here and specialize in Guilds. Members are glad to share what they know and will be great enablers of you spending more of your money on guitars.
