Well, now, that's just silly. Fun, though, I'm sure until you need the aforementioned spare skivvies.
Then there's the V-10 powered Dodge Tomahawk:

Forget the skivvies, just wrap me up in about 8 layers of Depends.

You'll be sinking more money as you go along, so be prepared to spend more, if you want a reliable vehicle. It all may be worth the effort though, it is a desirable ride.

To go a bit further on the " before you try to start it " thought process. Find out how much gas is still in the tank and drain it all out. Then disconnect the ends of the fuel line at the tank and near the engine and blow compressed air down the pipe to get all the gas out of there. Next, pull the plugs ( Mark what plug wires go where ! ) and squirt in a few squirts of some thin oil like Marvel Mystery oil in each spark plug hole and let it sit for a day or two. Then you can put it in neutral and try turning the engine with a big socket wrench on the bolt at the end of the crank shaft , lower pulley. I think for Fords, it's a 13/16" socket. Try to get a few revolutions around to let the oil lube the cylinder walls. It may be a pain because you may have to keep removing the wrench and pushing the fan past the lower crank when the blades point downward.

Next... when you put all the stuff back together, ( plugs, plug wires, and fuel lines ) remove the center wire from the distributor. That way it can not start. THEN with a new battery, crank it over good a few times to get the oil pressure up and coating the internal parts.

Now, you can try to start it! If it still has Mystery oil in it, it will SMOKE for a little bit until it burns it all out.
