So I got my Trussrod cover from Thalia and it is nice but just way too red for my guitar.
It is as red as my raw bridge block material I have on my bench. My headstock has faded to a medium brown
along with the fretboard ...so
I have a piece of Granadillo that when stained to Dark Walnut with 1 coat looks almost perfect match to my headstock.
I screwed it to another piece of wood so I can cut safety on the table saw.
The area that is stained on the Granadillo is 1 coat of Dark walnut. I nice subtle complement to the headstock and fretboard rosewood.
