Even though it's not a "real" Guild, if you got it for $250 and it sounds great and it's got electronics AND it looks great, then what a deal!! It would only be a bad thing if you paid "real Guild" money for it. I like the way it looks!!
It doesn't have electronics but I'm planning to adapt some, probably an LR Baggs Anthem.

The Anthem is pretty well spoken of around here aoctavio. In any case, you'll have to spend almost as much as you spent on the guitar to get one. That is, if you're buying a new one.

Good luck!

Well, TK would be 2008, mclkar, but I'm actually not aware of any F-512s in Koa. I presume the 2012 model must've been what they call a GSR, but again hadn't heard of it (I could be forgetting, but I would've thought I'd remember something like that). As for one from 2008... I'm really suspicious about that. Do you have pictures to prove it?
if im not mistaking, guild produced 60 anniversary models?? but all within 2012 - 2013. ? i was just curious about this particular one, because of the label inside. And the most knowledgeable guild people are on this forum

Thanks! If I get a good sound is ok. And the Anthem I can keep no matter what.

I recently installed a Baggs Anthem in one of mine. Piece of cake. I do personally like the sound of it's mic pickup better than the under saddle, though you can mix the two.

Here’s the “return policy” as stated on that website:

Return
Policy
If the product you receive is not as described or low quality, the seller promises that you may return it before order completion (when you click ‘Confirm Order Received’ or exceed confirmation timeframe) and receive a full refund. The return shipping fee will be paid by you. Or, you can choose to keep the product and agree the refund amount directly with the seller.

Huh???? 🤔🤔🤔

A search turned up this...

Looks like a shop that specializes in "knock-0ffs"... AKA counterfeits?
Well looky there! A $699 Koa Taylor, a $699 Gibson.......wow, now those are some deals for sure.;)

The mic component of the Anthem is the same as the Baggs Lyric, isn't it? If so, I can attest hat it sounds great (I have it in two guitars) but that it is seriously prone to feedback if you use a stage monitor while performing.

Yes it does Jeff. In fact, it sounds like an acoustic guitar.:) I've got the under saddle turned off! I wish I'd have just gotten the Lyric. Heck, I even drilled a hole in the saddle slot to accommodate the thing. I'm thinking about removing it.......the piezo. Still playing with it though.

Oh, and yes, the internal mic is identical to that of the Lyric.

It'd definitely fit in the frunk! :) The only concern would be front-end collisions. And then, well, there's more to worry about than the guitar...

That’s a fake. I have three. They’re all over Aliexpress for 300ish bucks. I chose not to add the label in mine (came unattached, exactly the same serial number) and did my own customizations (new tuners pickguards and strap buttons). Solid tops on all three, most likely laminate back&sides. I live in CO so I use these knockoffs as beaters that lay around my house without worrying about lack of humidity. I will say they sound considerably better than the various J200 copies I’ve owned over the years.

I guess my posts to the owner on Facebook weren't credulous enough. I showed him my label from Tacoma with written label. Also the fonts and lettering were not the same. The headstock inlays didn't look correct and there's no railroad inlays on the fretboard. I mentioned that the only two Koa guitars I know from Tacoma are my F50K and Jeff's F47K.

If the trussrod adjustment is in the soundhole, it's not an American Guild. Not sure about the Chinese origin Guilds because I don't have experience with them.
