Hello All,

It has been a long time since I've posted, but just so you know, I check in more than often to scan the topics and chuckle at some of the Geezers' wise-cracks.

Anyone know anything about this Starfire:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

(I hope that link works) It seems that it has been listed for a little while, and the BIN has been reduced several times. Makes me curious as to why its not moving...looks like its in okay (all original) condition other than the 44 years of battle scars. I've done a couple of searches here and haven't found any threads on this item. Am I missing something or is it just priced too high?

The wife has given me the 'go-ahead' for another acquisition so I've been browsing over the ones left on my list. SFIII has been on it for a long time now, and its the same vintage as me.

Thanks for any input,

gilligan

I would say it is priced too high by about $300 but what do I know. My guess would be you could find one in similar condition for $1500

Hi Gilligan and welcome back; nothing negative jumped out from the pics .... although I would have expected to see more buckle rash on the back. The aged binding is pretty appealing. Agree w/ MT; I think this a price problem.

[rant] More and more sellers are opting for the 'top-of-the-market-plus-25%' approach; they decide what it might go for in an unrestricted auction, tack on a premium because ... well ... they want more than market for it, and list it BIN. [\rant]

fwiw: Seller is an eBay regular who routinely offers better stuff ... at better prices ... good luck. :) CJ

Nice guitar. The original to my newly acquired reissue. I too think the price is way too high, even if it is in great condition.

I bet it sounds delicious. Only thing I don't like about vintage Guild electrics is the tiny necks.

Well, some of us have tiny hands, and you know what they say about that.

I'm not sure, but I can tell you that my hands are **enormous**!

Gilligan !!!

It's been so long, one would almost think that you'd been castaway on an island somewhere.
Good to "see" you.

Thanks for the feedback guys---at least to the commenters earlier in the thread before we veered off into another characteristically LTG adolescent tangent. I’m trying not to mention how many jumbos I have, expecting some response about compensating for something.

Nice to “see” you too, Coastie…

Thanks Guys,

gilligan
