They won't since they're metric. You need the Westerly-era knobs that go from 1-10, although the vintage ones that have the "Volume" and "Tone" labels will also fit. Unfortunately, both are pricey.

Your cheapest bet is to piece together a set from eBay or Reverb, or you can post a WTB in the Buy, Sell, Trade section of this forum to see if a member has a set to sell. If you're in a hurry, try sending an email to Hans Moust or Ken Nash.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

I think you have to have at least 10 approved posts before you can post in WTB/S/Trade section. Hang in there Thornel, more help will be on the way. jp's recommend to Hans Moust or Ken Nash is a super good one!! Welcome.

EBay auction:

But those are Newark Street parts so the knobs will be metric.

I just got a guitar in the mail with these odd coarse shaft pots and some cheap knobs barely pushed on, thank goodness barely pushed on.

I'm not personally into encouraging knobs on to somewhat fragile pots.

I went with some set screw radio knobs from my stash until I can find the right ones.

One of the luthiers best friends is a decent knob puller, do NOT be without it.

Also, ESP made a fantastic tool to tighten pots nuts without taking the knob off, fantastic.

Metric ones will fit with some encouragement
This is also an option, but it will take minor tweaking. If you buy Newark Street metric knobs from Guild, you can most likely adapt them to fit the Westerly Guild pot splines.

Are the shafts on your pots the split knurled kind or the solid kind? I don't have a Westerly Guild, so I don't know. IIRC, they're most likely knurled, split shaft, with 24 fine splines. NS knobs will most likely made for the metric 18 coarse spline shafts. Both shafts have roughly the same diameter 6 mm~0.24 in., but with differing spline count.

As Parker mentions, encouragement will make them fit, kind of like helping a square peg fit into a round hole. Encouragement can mean only slightly drilling out the splines of the NS knob (leave some meat on them for grip) and then filling the holes with a little paper to press fit them on snugly. This doesn't sound elegant, but it works just fine. I've done this before with success.

Encouragement option:

If you have an old potentiometer, that no longer is good - but has the right shaft as of spline count.

What if you heat the shaft with hot air blower - and then press the new knob on it - once it cools out you can pull the knob out - repeat if needed - and insert it into your old guitar.
