I was tapping my chopsticks!!

There's a bar in Hong Kong called Ned Kellys, an Oz expat joint with a 20 piece Dixie Land jazz band. What a trip. Ice cold Carlsberg on tap though.... 8)

Our taxi ride there is a liberty classic. Poor Chinese driver dude couldn't speak a word of English, and we were all telling him Ned Kellys! Ned Kellys! And step on it!! He didn't get it, so he hands us the mike to his dispatch radio, after calling us assholes in Cantonese. We shout in the radio, Ned Kellys!! Drink beer!! Lots of jabber, no joy. So we start make drinking motions, like raising a glass, while shouting Ned Kellys!! The little lightbulb comes on, and he says Awwwww! Ned Kellys! More jabber in the radio, and off we go in a cloud of exhaust to Ned Kellys for a night of drunken debauchery and Chinese Dixie Land music!

The good old days...nice city, Hong Kong.
