I just made an offer on this and it was accepted. I bought it from Grassdog ( LTG'er ). I am super pumped. I am going to do NGD around the holidays as this is my christmas present. I am going to check it when it arrives to make sure it came in one piece and then keep it safely humidified until christmas.. I know.. I am a nerd.. I don't care. I like the anticipation and it's not like I don't have some other great Guilds to keep me company. I am not as familiar with this model, but I know it is a grand auditorium made in New Hartford with the same body shape dims as the F-40 valencia. I know it is quite a bit deeper ( which I like ). It is adi top and adi bracing. The top has some interesting figuring going on. It boasts an 1 11/16" nut. The maple is brimming with deliciousness.. I love the block in lays. The chesterfield. Just a classy looking box. This will be the first adi top guitar I have ever owned and I am excited. I love the potential versatility that this guit will bring and I believe this instrument will round out my stable with dignity. I would love to hear from any other F47 owners out there. I have a co-worker who owns the rosewood F47 with a cutaway and he adores his.

That is a seriosuly gorgeous musical instrument. I had one once and did really like it. I have the F 47 RW cutaway version now and it's nice but I liked the Maple much better.

Congrats!!!!

OH yea, that is stunning! HNGD early ;). I am decidedly for the full body with no cutaway on that model, and maple just puts it over the top. Awesome!

I have an F47R. It is a versatile body size. I am still trying to find the strings that make it sound the best. If I had to " thin the herd " I would probably keep this guitar over the D-55, just because the neck is easier to play for my hands. Or, I need to go a bit lighter on the strings of the D-55.

This is why I think Tacoma and NH models are the best. Adi tops, bone nut, saddle and bridge pins. Where was it advertised?

I didn't either until he posted it, Dread. Very cool. I seem to remember some discussion about said jam sess.

Thanks Bone. Super jazzed. I plan on holding out until I can play it as a gift. I find gratitude happens easier that way for me around things like this. I just hope I can hold out a few months!!

That is a pretty strong endorsement JW63.

Fabulous fiddleback there. Enjoy the anticipation! :) Thanks for sharing the pix. That's a little bit of bearclaw (I think) on the soundboard that you're seeing. Awesome. I love it!
