Made in Tacoma, Washington in 2008, it's (as you probably already know) a dread with a spruce top and solid mahog b/s. It comes with medium strings (.13 - .56 D'Addario EXP's) and I usually use lights (.12 - .53) but the set-up is so good that the heavier strings are no problem.
I've been playing it almost constantly since I bought it 5 days ago and it sounds and plays great. I think I made a good decision. Looks like a keeper. :D

Those are nice sounding guitars! I played a rosewood version a few weeks back and still can't stop thinking about it. Blasted GAS!
When you can't put it down you know it's a Keeper!
Enjoy!

Congrats on the DV4. I picked up my '98 DV4 a couple of years ago and it began my love affair with Guild. As far as I know the specs on our two guitars are identical. If yours sounds as sweet as mine you're in for many pleasant years of that great woody tone! Take care of her during the changes in temp and humidity that the seasons bring--they can be temperamental.
