I was looking on YouTube for songs written by Guy Clark (RIP, Guy) and came upon this version of "Desperados Waiting For A Train" by the Highwaymen. Was watching it and then I realized that Johnny Cash was playing a Guild. Looks like a D-50 to me.

The Highwaymen: "Desperados Waiting for a Train"

How often did he play a Guild?

It's a D-60... one of (I think) two that were presented to him by Jerre Haskew. Here's one LTG thread in which it was discussed. Here's another in which he is playing an F-20 (or F-30?)...

I have a vague recollection that a Guild owned and played by Johnny Cash was on the market about five years ago and discussed at LTG.

Good memory! www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/showthread.php?169528-Johny-Cash-s-Guild-Guitar-for-sale-on-ebay
and some older thread with comments from Hans: www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/showthread.php?167534-Johnny-Cash-D-60-on-Ebay

A bit about the history (but mind Hans' comments in the provious link I posted): http://www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/sh...ayed-a-D60-in-concert-recordings-for-10-years!
