As I age my hearing diminishes and the idea of a Guild 12 string sound intrigues me. I know that Chazmo loves his 12 strings. I"m seeing a 93 version of a JF-30 has popped up here locally and I'm just looking for thoughts about the Guild brand Jumbo 12 stings. I'm loving the sounds of all my D 6 strings. I do have a 12 string Lakewood Dreadnaught. And if Ralf or Hans cares to comment on this brand I would be interested also. Lakewood are German guitars. Thanks

Guild jumbos have their own sound. I've played other brand jumbo 12s, but they sound different. I would say a Guild maple archback (JF-30 or F-412) is like a baby grand piano. Lots of range and it can rumble. An F-512 is like getting an entire orchestra.

Love mine. I have four 12 strings and my JF30-12 plays like an electric guitar.

When I first got into twelve strings (2014) I got a Martin DM-12. Loved it. Then I got another Martin 12. Then I read some reviews and decided to try a Guild jumbo 12.
The Martins are nice, but they’re now for sale.
Admittedly, they aren’t in the same price range, but I have no inclination to explore the better Martin’s now.
It has come to my attention, however, that I might look into an AcornHouse 12…

Hey, my ears were ringing. :)

The land of Guild 12 strings is rich and wonderful. Good luck in the hunt, Rich.

Can't beat 'em. They're spectacular. Stupendous. Fabulous. My first Guild was a JF30-12 many years ago. I'm on an eternal honeymoon with that guitar!

That’s a beauty for sure. Eternal Honeymoons are a good thing!
