I love Blackwings as well -- I use the Pearls and the 602s. I try to get every molecule out of each pencil because they have gotten so outrageously expensive. The special editions are just too far above my pencil budget, as cool as the Jerry Garcia edition is.

That's me. I just don't draw or write any more. So half a box of them in the desk.
The erasers on most of my pencils have turned to stone.... But, I do have a soap eraser that works great. I'm constantly using pencils to mark up my parts in band and orchestra. I know... That's so yesterday...

Most pencils suck. These are wonderful. I use them all the time and I'll never buy another "normal" pencil.

Well, I've never tried the Blackwings, but I like my Ticonderoga tri-writes, grabbed from a clearance bin because why not. Don't laugh (too hard) but they are the "My First tri-write". Yes, the fat pencils that first graders use. I find them very comfortable to hold. And I also prefer wider guitar necks.

I prefer mechanical pencils and have an assortment. This is the one that lives between the function and number rows of my mechanical keyboard. It sees 90%+ of all my hand writing time. It is machined from a solid rod of Stainless Steel, they make them in Copper, Bronze, or Titanium as well. I generally prefer 0.5mm lead, but went with 0.7mm so my aging eyes can see it better
