Hard to tell much of a sonic difference on my phone. Pretty dreads.

for all I moan re wanting an arched back D25, I think Mav is right all along. I already have the good D25 in the Br. Way sweeter sounding tone-wise, not as brash sounding as the arched D25s. i guess my ears just prefer flatbacks...

even though today, i am only playing the F30 :)

That’s probably one of few guitar channels I like. Either someone’s trying to be a comedian and shoulda stuck with their day job (or not seeing some make big bucks on YouTube.), post clickbait or too instilled in drama.

That aside I think that D-55 has insane note clarity. As far as the D-25 and D-35 it seems Jeremy’s D-25 is brighter than the D-35. In my experience it’s the other way around with my 74’ D-35 being brighter than the D-25.

Unless one conducts in-person, blind listening tests, I don't believe these determinations are valid. Otherwise, there are just too many variables that invalidate the results, which are subjective at best anyway.
Just my two cents.

As long as guitars use natural materials, such as wood, comparing instruments will never have enough repeatability or scientific rigor. So they will always be subjective. Nevertheless some comparisons can be useful.

fronobulax,
I've always wondered if some sort of objective measuring system could be derived by making voice prints of guitars playing identical songs or scales and comparing them.
Yes, there would be some variables because of as you said, the nature of wood, but it would eliminate some of the inherent human pre-conceived biases that always creep into the "Listen to this video" comparisons.

The only thing this does for me is remind me that Guilds from my least favorite era still sound really good. You should always play any guitar you get the chance to.
