Hello. I was wondering if anyone has any information on California humbuckers from around 1984 as I just fell into a guitar for free made from guild parts. The guitar sounds great after a setup but I cannot find any information anywhere about them. Any type of information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey, I just bought a Guild guitar that had all the parts robbed from it. Maybe they were separated at birth.

I would like to know as well. I have an extra California humbucker with a short lead. It doesn't look like it's ever been used.

Is that one of the super strat kind of Guilds?

Oops! I just realized my unintentional thread hijack. My apologies to you elyman6. This kind of thing happens here often. We're like a buncha kids at the lunchroom table.

Wish I could offer insight. Forgive my ignorance but what are the California humbuckers? I don't recall ever coming across the term. Are you guys referring to the Guild XR-7 pickups?

Welcome to the LTG!
