There was a post on one of the other guitar forums I frequent asking for helping naming a band. I had a couple of ideas before hitting upon -- Tralfaz

Tralfaz is the name given to the The Jetsons' dog Astro by his presumed 'real' owner in the animated TV series. In that particular episode of the show which aired on Jan. 6, 1963, Astro was originally owned by the fabulously wealthy J.P. Gottrockets, who called him Tralfaz. Astro found the name so distasteful he spends the entire episode repeating it -- Tralfaz? Yeccchh!. The plot sees a Jury-Vac award the dog to Gottrockets, who finally decides to return him to his adopted family.

I looked it up to make sure I was spelling it right and also found out its a disparaging nickname for Elvis Presley. Ick! Not 'Love Me Tender' again! What is this, the 'All-Tralfaz' Channel?

If not a good band name, I think it would have made a good forum name ... and avatar.

I was always going to use "Dooley Noted" if I ever started a band. I'd give it up though.

Elder Farts?
The Prostate Brothers Band?

Or, long form: "If We Could Play Better We Wouldn't Be Here"

There was a band in Alabama when I lived there called "Ethel and the Brazen Hussies", which I thought was a cool name.

Dave :D

And for an all-girl band...

Yep. If you skated back in the day like I did you might remember Tommy Guerrero.

Of all the bands I was in, my favorite was Dry Heave. Power trio of course. 8)
