I posted all of my adventures with my open box D2612CE from Sweetwater a while ago and wanted to share my post honeymoon feelings.
I played it a lao the last few weeks and finally decided it should make am appearance in my band Dumb Blind Luck.
I used it with great success even on songs that aren't really ideal for a 12. (A guitar's a guitar, right?). I had some issue getting it to work through the PA with my Bangs Paracoustic DI, so I just plugged it into my amp. That isn't ideal, but it sounded darn good.
On songs I play down the fretboard it sounds much better than my electric 12, more harmonic richness without getting too busy sounding in the mix.
Up the neck it still sounds great and I can even solo up past the 10th or 12th fret and the intonation is good.
I write on an acoustic 12 so my songs sound especially good with this instrument.
I am really happy that I got this guitar in spite of thinking I was being silly getting a second Guild 12.
Guild is doing a really nice job on the imports, this guitar certainly deserves to be called a Guild.
