In the late 70's Mark Fosson recorded a demo for John Fahey's Takoma label just before Fahey sold it. Fahey returned the tapes and Fosson's amazing 12 string instrumentals went unheard and unappreciated for nearly 30 years. This despite Fahey's praise of the Fosson demo as the best since Kottke. With the the title of "Mark Fosson The Lost Takoma Sessions" these recording were released in 2006 by Drag City Inc. out of Chicago. If you enjoy Kottke and that amazing 12 string sound this is one great cd that is really worth a listen.
