...to attend one specific concert in music history, which one would it be? and why?

I would choose Jimi Hendrix, at the Isle of Wight Festival, 1970. I love the version of "Red House" he played there, from 39:00. This Flying V is sooo cool!

Ok, so festival, I’ll have to go with Newport Folk Festival 1965. Line up is a who’s who of rock, blues, folk and country at the time and Dylan goes electric!

Single show would have to be Grateful Dead, May 8th, 1977, Barton Hall at Cornell University. It is widely recognized among The Dead community as one of, if not the best show they performed. It was just one of those shows where EVERYONE was in the zone. I missed out by about 2 years as I saw my first of many shows in 1979.

Saw Jethro and the "Thick As A Brick" tour on Nov 5, 1972 when I was in the Navy in Jacksonville, FL. I'm thinking tickets were $4.00.

April 13, 1742, the first performance of Handel's Messiah in a Dublin concert hall. Interestingly, even though now associated with Christmas, it was written for Easter and thus performed during Holy Week.

On March 15th and 16th, 1968, The Cream played at The Shrine Auditorium in L.A. The unbilled opening act? Buffalo Springfield.

The Beatles in The Cavern, after their trip to Hamburg. Right before they made it big (so I could hear them!).

I saw The Who in the Pontiac Silverdome Dec 1975, with Keith Moon. Saw Led Zeppelin in Seattle earlier that year, with John Bonham.
