Thanks to a couple friends, I was hauled outta here and over to McCabe's in time to see the great Hot Tuna. And they were genuinely great. It was fasconating to watch Jack working out below Jorma. He's so much more refined then in the early 70s. And Diana 1 sounds so fabulous. I'm trying to find out what strings were on it.

I've got some phone pics. I'll post them.

Very cool. Thanks for the pics!
It would be cool to see them in person.
His amp head reminds me of the old Trainwreck amps.
Red silks? Hmmmm. Did they sound like bronze acoustic strings? There were phosphor bronze on it in this writeup:

Looks like a fun evening. Do you know what size speakers are in the cab? Nice photos!

Jack and Eric primarily discussed bicycle riding. They're both manic. I really couldn't speak. My voice is a whisper at best while I'm on these immunotherapy drugs.

This was the first time that Eric and I saw HT together. I first met him on a session Keltner took me to with Lucinda Williams for the movie Taleddega Nights. I was the first to arrive, set up my amps, and had half-a-dozen basses with me. I was playing my Starfire !! though a Versatone, working on the settings, when Eric walked by and said, " OH! I know who YOU are...:

Probably Two 8-inch cast frame woofers, one 6.5-inch midrange driver. A couple of sources say Jack designed and used an Aguilar Aguilar DB 285 JC.

Great post. Fun stuff.

It was so quiet at home yesterday that it's hard for me to not reply "I didn't see jack last night." Taken either way, would both be correct.:ROFLMAO::p

He came by today while running around to bring me set. Super long, very heavy stainless steel roundwounds by Rotosound .50 - .110. I'll put them on my Taylor.
