I watched a couple episodes of Mandalorian. It did nothing for me. Basically a show designed to sell baby Yodas.

It gets better and rises above some of the other things you could watch, but basically after the first six movies (chronologically, in our timeline) everything in the Star Wars Universe seems to be a balancing act between "fan service" and storytelling. Since fan service limits and curtails storytelling if you want more than just spending time with old friends and clichés you need to be selective in what you watch or at least lower your expectations :)

Color me Opie, sitting around outside Floyd’s barber shop with his father, soaking up the wit and wisdom of a long lost world from a man whose type is timeless.

Ray, I think Star Trek: Discovery is a good show!! 1st season good, second season gets a bit crazy. 3rd season I just finished. I like it but basically cbs all access (now called Paramount+) is my only subscription channel and each season of Discovery is only 13 shows. At least with Stargate and those older shows you'd get 19 or 20 episodes per season. When I finish Picard again soon, I'll unsubscribe until they get another season out. 13 episodes? Really?

Old Geezers age...in my mind somewhere in the 80's.
I too am still working, lately as a contractor, and it's great. Contract winding down so looking for a few months of some guitar fun and some projects to catch up on before getting another contract. Hopefully I can avoid an assignment until the fall!

Yeah I like it but the strory lines just stop dead and left use hanging . I haven’t seen season 3 I don’t think I have go look for it .
The show had a lot of potential but the fans are not really happy from what I read so far .

We eventually cancelled Disney. Really we only had it for a while because my wife is a huge Hamilton fan.

Star Trek

I have watched only one episode - and it was enough.

NOTICE - not for sensitive hardcore StarTrek afficianados - no intention to hurt anybody's feelings - but here goes:

They were sailing with this huge - size of Washington DC - mothership somewhere "out there" - all wearing some kind of jumpsuits or whatever - one of the crew stares at his "screen" of about max 20 blinking lights - calls the captain - "Look - distress signal in that direction" - so the launch the smaller space-ship with all level floors and thick & heavy leather furniture - and go down only to find out that here's nothing - BUT - now the REAL DRAMA begins - they discover, that their village-size "little" vessel has not enough power against the gravitation of that planet - so they have to reduce weight - they start discussing wether it be one of the crew members or their hand-held "Phazer-guns" that should be left behind. . . . . . . .

And - silly me - I was wondering why the heck they did not drag some of those heavy furniture out of that lounge that was supposedly their "deck". . . . 😂

That was the three times I watched that show - the first - the last - the only one.

as for Star Trek unfortunately the new show gets bad reviews. Bad plots and what not . I never noticed of coarse because that’s basically how the original went .
Boy, one bad episode and they never let you forget it:

Took "cheesy" to a Limburger level. 😁

But when it was good it was magnificent:

Takei's attire paying homage to an as-yet relatively (except for Green Hornet) unknown Bruce Lee?

🙃

My daughter got me into watching The Office US version last year and I really liked it, so much so, that I binged watched every episode and then started watching them again. I still watch reruns on Comedy Central.

Saturday night...Combat on H&I. Same village...same dirt road...same blown up buildings...every week. How great is that!

Continuing my "theme song" veer, always loved the theme for the Avengers:

And the theme was the thing I liked best abut Perry Mason.

The Partridge Family...not so much.

I used to watch that, really liked it. Hadn't thought about it in a long time. Thanks for the reminder.

The only thing I liked about anything Trekkie was Seven of Nine. A lot
Oh yeah she looks the same now ! Geez O’petes shes hot ! Lol

I binged Stargate SG1 and realized that she was in one of later seasons show . Also the guy that played the Grand Nagus ( not spelled right ) lol

One thing I like about the shows was the respect and moral values . It was part of the whole series less the original not saying it did have it but maybe in a rougher form . Lol

Yoko, he's using what we call "Ray-speak". It actually means something, I'm just not exactly sure what yet. My decoder ring is on the Fritz..... :p:p
