Has anyone been binge watching shows and I don’t mean Golden Girls . 😂
Since I’m a sci-fi nut the one I’m on now is Stargate SG-1 didn’t remember it had 9 seasons .
Also believe it or not Stargate is coming back !!! Yaaaaaay the plans to start where the series left off. I think that’s a first . Lol

it seems shows now aren’t that good and don’t last long , loss of imagination maybe ? I don’t keep track of reality or cop shows . Maybe they have a lot .

The Expanse is really good . The Madalorian to which I hope has a long stent . I don’t think the acting on Manadoren is a bit lax but there’s a lot who think it’s great . So one of the main characters was fire and that’s Gina Carano for inappropriate posting of some none correct. Will this carp ever stop.

as for Star Trek unfortunately the new show gets bad reviews. Bad plots and what not . I never noticed of coarse because that’s basically how the original went .

Back to the Expanse , to me the show is written about as close to the books as one can get . This has been long over due if ask me . Lol

anyway I’m bored so I figured I’d spew forth words of nothingness. 😝

DS9...
but 15 years ago CBS had THRESHOLD, the last TV SF show I really liked, and of course CBS kept moving it's time and day slots until nobody watched it and so it was cancelled in the middle of the story--at least I have the DVD...
Carla Gugino, Brent Spiner, Peter Dinklage, Charles Dutton
not the standard fare--an intelligent Alien invasion story...

We are doing a renovation on the first floor of our house, thusly I have lost the outside terrestrial antenna connection and have had to revert to ("shudder!") Apple-TV for what I hope is a short bit...

Wife and I have gone through ALL the "Good Bones" episodes, partly because they take old homes like ours, strip them out, and make them new...thats the good part...bad part is they are marketing them to Millenials (sp) which means a lot of things we wouldn't even consider in our own home...we are doing it for US, not some couple my daughter will try to sell it to when we are in a nursing home (again "shudder!"). But it really is a good show, and does show you what you are up against when 110 year old walls get opened. Yes, we took out all the gas lighting pipes

Aside from that, I have been watching all the "Midsommer Murders" episodes that we have not gotten on PBS. Yes, I AM an addict...

Oh, for @Westerly Wood , I am 67 and one half...

Julie Newmar was a REAL hottie in 1959 or so, from the old pictures...prolly was when Adam West was after her.

How did she not become a "Bond girl?"

Hows THAT for a vere?

I’m guilty of the old geezer status, but it’s much better than the alternative! I still work full time, so TV is out. My home time is family/guitar/yard work, in that order. Loved the old sitcoms back in the day, Bob Newhart, Cheers, Taxi, Wings, etc.
This is one of my favorite screens and total ad lib. He was only supposed to ask once.

I really like The Expanse. I have the first book, Leviathon, on hold at my online library.

I watched a couple episodes of Mandalorian. It did nothing for me. Basically a show designed to sell baby Yodas.

Ah, but Jill St. John, the girl in the disco did.

The scene where she disguises herself as Robin strained the credibility of even the most gullible among us. Even in the '60s:

Me and all my Jr. High school friends were madly in love with Julie Newmar!

She was also in Twilight Zone, and of course the terrible sitcom "My Living Doll," where she carried the entire show with her looks.

I don't watch much TV anymore. I'd rather read a good book. But I could watch old sitcoms like Andy Griffith, Dick Van Dyke, etc. all day.

How did this thread become the "Old TV Shows" thread?
