Back a number of years, I sat in for some uptempo 12-bar blues with these guys at the Bayou in Salt Lake. I played their old Wurlitzer electric piano. The place was pretty well packed, and the crowd surprised me by going nuts at the end! It was pretty cool!

I was playing on my deck this weekend, some Mississippi John Hurt, Payday, Spike Driver’s, See See Rider. The retired couple who are watching our neighbor’s house while she is out of town asked if that was me playing and said it sounded nice. It was really cool to hear.
You gotta' love that David. ^ As Reeves said, it's a great thing to share your music. Even if unintentional, it's nice to get unexpected compliments! Especially when it comes from your neighbors (or sort-of neighbors, as it were).

I played drums with a guy (piano/vocals) at a resort in Northern Wisconsin years ago. We had a tip jar on the piano, and one night a guy walked up and held out a $20 and said he would drop it in if we stopped playing. Honestly I couldn't blame him - the guy I was with was the quintessential lounge lizard, but I was locked into a summer-long contract six nights a week. That was one endless summer!
