Here in the PNW, we are about to be 'overwhelmed' (experts say) with a series of storms from the Gulf of Alaska. If that's the case, we've seen the last of this for a while.

Early morning at Wildcat Cove

October storms are legendary here and even though it's still September, the hatches are battened.

Just do not use the wood from your guitars to cover the windows. :hopelessness: Perhaps if you play Richie Havens' version of Here Comes the Sun over and over the storms will go around you. It made the sun come out in 1969, so it can work again. :encouragement: Beautiful view, btw.

Joe,
Your photographs always make me smile.
We're having a typical fall day in NE Ohio. Most of the leaves are still green, but the poison ivy has turned a beautiful shade of crimson. - Sorry - no photographic documentation. :rolleyes-new:

72, with low humidity, a light ocean breeze and sunny. Visibility at 10 miles or so.

Of course, I'm used to fantastic weather, but this day is beyond exceptional. We get maybe 10 days that are THIS good every year.

And the best part? my friend has organized a 20 mile bicycle pub crawl that starts in about 1 hour. So in about 8 hours, I'll be blitzed and watching a fantastic early autumn sunset.

Can't beat west central Ohio today either. It's just been a beautiful couple of weeks. Was wondering Joe if you were going to comment on the impending weather. I"m sure you'll find a way to keep busy and take advantage of the coming storm.

Peace

Raining sideways here, bad enough the birds are walking. Good size flock of ducks, that normally hangs out in the lake, has taken up residence in one of our, normally dry, surface water retention ponds. All in all it's fun to watch, from the veranda, then escape to the wood fire inside.

It's dry in my shop & I'm finishing up replacing several axe & maul handles.

In central Indiana, there's this strange phenomenon of water falling from the sky. I can't recall the last time I saw something like it.

Great photos, Joe!! I'm such a HUGE fan of rain!! Rain invigorates me. Unfortunately, I don't get very much where I live. August was one of the wettest months on record. Thunderstorms GALORE!! Can't complain about the weather here now. This is the time of year you're glad to live in Las Vegas. It's 73 right now, going up to a high of 87. Clear skies, the wind has died down, and it's just beautiful. I've actually got my windows open for a change!

Pristine fall New England day here in the south shore of Massachusetts. Blue blue crystal clear skies with temps around 68.
