That's no way to spend your birthday, that's for sure. We had some wind damage as well, and my son's middle school has been without power the last two days. He's loving life right now.

Looking good Marv! (You I mean...)
Thankfully it looks like you didn't sustain any structural damage?
Good luck, keep us posted....

I never go by Marvin Lol  They said they needed my full name for legal reasons. Someone could shout Marvin in the same room with me and I might not recognize it.

The house is ok. It damaged the shingles with lots of punctures. Hopefully I get a new roof and siding. I already have the trees on the curb ready to be picked up. The upside to it is that the trees were maple. Maple is a good smoking wood and I like to smoke meat. I normally pay like 5 bucks for a small bag of smoking wood. I figure I have about $500 stacked up and drying as we speak.....mmmmmmmmm smoked meat

I've heard Gibson SG's make good smoking wood too..... haha

Cheers, Jeff

As long as you're not burning S-100's...... 8)
That can be the ideal scenario actually, just as the one I got after Hurricane Frances here a few years ago: Just enough damage to the roof to get the insurance to cough up a new one, and not enough to have damage inside.
Keep stacking this free maple!! :D

When I was younger I worked at Fedex ground loading trucks. My supervisor was from Thailand and english was her second language. I never bothered to tell anyone that I went by my middle name. One day while working I kept noticing my sup kept yelling "MAW BIN" while I was arranging boxes in a truck. I just figured it was a curse word in Thai or something. Later that night she grabbed me by the arm and was very upset. She said " I have been yelling MAW BIN for hours and you never answer. Is that your name?" I felt so bad I had to set her straight.

Cheers, Jeff

Ya made it through your birthday and that's a good thing so happy BD, eh? I live in the path of the storm that hit your home. All around me people suffered property damage, extensive to the point of losing homes. We were lucky as the brunt of the storm appeared to jump over me and my immediate neighbors.

Peace

Happy Birthday. Glad the damage was not significant.

Maybe someone will get you one of these for your next appearance on camera.

My parents home has been set on fire before from a lightning storm. It is a terrible experience to be homeless because of a storm. Glad to hear your were unscathed.

Hi Jeff and Happy Birthday! Didn't happen our our birthdays but in '04-'05, we lived through Hurricanes Francis, Jeanne, and Wilma ... I know that sense of having gotten nicked but also dodging something pretty ugly! J
