Hi,
I notice many of you have a list of your Guilds owned at the bottom of your posts. How is that done so that it automatically appears when I submit a post?

Thanks,

We don't have enough bandwidth (or whatever the proper geekspeak word is) for you do list 'em again, Grot.

And tonepot, nice list o' Guilds you got there. But around here, we go chronological, so let's get your herd in order, eh? :D

Grot: Go for the century mark!

Thunderface: I'll attend to my list for chronological order. There seems to be some confusion over when the Detonators were made, however. I've seen lists where they are in the '87-'88 range and others that place them in the '84-'85 range. The newest one I've picked up has pots dating to '82, so I'm not so sure about the dates for that model.

Have fun,

Nice work, there TP. I was just kidding about the chronological order thing, but it does make your list look somewhat easier to follow. :D If we had owner's rosters for each individual model, like we do for the S-100, (see "very rudimentary S-100 owner's roster" post) you'd have "cool kid" status in both the X-79 and Detonator categories, which is quite impressive. And a pair of S-25s! You rarely see one of those, much less two.

Now that you listed to me on the chronological thing, let's talk photographically.

Krysh - The T-250 was the first Guild solid body I got back in 2000. She's red with a white pickguard and DiMarzio passive pickups, non-pointy headstock version. Fabulous neck.

Thunderface - The Detonators and X-79s are favorite models with me. Love the DiMarzio VS-1 single coils on the Detonators. So clear and glassy. And the DiMArzio made XR-7 humbuckers on the X-79s are one of my favorite humbuckers. No mud or muffly lows. Clear, precise and also great coil-cut as single coils. And, yes, two S-25s in a short period. Both on eBay. One sunburst poplar body and one natural mahogany. Both with XR-7s.

I need to figure out the photo thing. I do have photos, but need to spend the time with this site.

Have fun,

Upload your photos to a site like Photobucket or Imageshack. When you type a post you'll see a button above where you're typing that says "Img." Click that and put the URL address for your picture in between the "Img" brackets in your post.

Or - when you upload your picture to one of those sites they will also provide you with the "Img" brackets and link you'll need to insert into your post in order for your pictures to be displayed. Just copy and paste the link from your hosting site into your LTG post.

If you click "quote" below like you're going to reply to my post with what I typed in a quote box you'll see what I used for this picture to show up here.

killldeer43, Nope, didn't miss any Guilds, but I do have some other brands. I see an F-112 on your list. That model is on my wish list.

Have fun,
