I thought that the ones with that body style all had the slanted tailpiece.

Hello JP,

It had a slanted tailpiece but it looks like it was replaced with a Gibson style stop tailpiece, and a Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge, and a Gibson style knob on the master volume.
Nice color though!

Sincerely,

Hans is, as usual, on his game. I bought this from forum member Tweedledee last winter for $700 and yes the stoptail was replaced w/ a Gibson style (nashville?), with original holes filled very neatly. The bridge is still a roller I believe. It also has an expert neck crack repair at the base of the headstock but what a GREAT guitar it is to play!

The S-100C is equally amazing and actually in superb shape. I bought a set of HB1's of eBay for $180, so not cheap, but got the S-100C for $500 with the non-original pups last summer so I can't complain. I basically have $1400 into these two guitars and they are solidly in the top 5 of my 20+ guitar collection, with my fave being a natural '73 Tele Deluxe that is just unreal sounding and playing in all respects.

Grot, is that a reissue bridge on you Semi M-85? Those look like metal saddles.
You do have a good eye!

Yes ,the last owner had metal the saddles custom made.

I have purchased a replacement set of rosewood saddles from the gentleman that hangs out here and sells them on ebay.

I will be interesting to see how much tone the wood saddles will suck up.
