The 'birdie has landed! Man, I am in love with the tobacco-y sunburst finish on this guitar.
It's a joy to play (as all Guilds seem to be), sounds fantastic, the master volume is handy...I really love it.

It's a 1980. It has the pull-out master volume, which I think kept the price down on it.jp said:

I bought a '77 last year that doesn't have the MV--kind lucked out and got it for a realistic price. I haven't opened it up since to see what's original, what's been messed with. I really should. For all I know the faceplate could have been swapped out. The thing is like you said, all the silver faces still sound better than the majority of amps. My curiosity is piqued now, and I may have to put it up on the bench. Depending on the transformer, I may be able to be blackface it, or perhaps it already has been. Previous owner was kind of like me. He just wanted to play it!Horuss said:

Grot, is that a reissue bridge on you Semi M-85? Those look like metal saddles.
