Thanks! Actually, I found a new sound for my Savoy and I am really digging it. I put this through the Strymon Flint (tremelo/reverb) pedal, and then it goes from there into a Mesa Rosette 300 amp, where it gets EQ'd..

The Flint pedal is crazy expensive, TBH (so is the Mesa for that matter!) but it has three different trems and 3 different reverb settings, plus all of the adjustments you would expect from Strymon. I find that making the tremelo slow, and tweaking the mix and reverb gives my Savoy a really nice warm and WIDE tone. I'm really just loving the sound right now. (I need to make a sound clip of it) -- Can't play it enough these days.

It's like falling in love all over again!

You look like a friend of mine! At least, above the mask.

Well I guess you are a friend of mine...

LOL. Just back from Costco, the majority of folks had masks, very different from event 2 weeks ago. Costco is requiring all to wear masks starting Monday the 4th. Interesting times.

Shopped during "'geezer" hours at Hannford's this morning...most wearing masks, only a couple people were not "'geezers," most all personnel were wearing masks unlike last Friday when I was one of the few, not very crowded, only thing not available was toilet paper and disinfectant wipes, neither of which we were looking for. Plenty of meat, though no "deli" nor seafood section...fish relegated to a small floor cooler...overall, got what we wanted with no troubles. Meats being stocked as we shopped, though shelves were mostly full. No one at the front door, greeting/"mask patrol."

Will say, I was only one wearing an N95...

Pastor, get rid of the capo, your "assignment" during lockdown is to learn all closed-chords ;););)
You need an old "J-series" Guild amp...paging @Default :)

Ha! Two years ago, I would have agreed... but then I saw an interview with Glen Campbell where he was talking about how the Capo was his secret weapon, and I thought: If it's good enough for the wrecking crew... it's good enough for me. Besides, you should hear the magic that happens on a Savoy 150A when you Capo above the 4th fret!

As for the Guild amp, I'd really like to try that some day!

You look like a friend of mine! At least, above the mask.
Well I guess you are a friend of mine...

Thanks Dread... I like to think so!

Here in NJ if you don't have a mask on you don't get in the store. The number of people in the store is controlled and aisles have been made one-way. On a lighter note State Parks and Golf Courses were re-opened today!

My son is caught in "Catch-22," just like Yosarian (see the movie ;))...feels lousy for two weeks, doctor gives script, gets tested and shows positive...after two days at home, admitted to hospital (has asthma) and is released after three days. At this time still trying to work off pneumonia in one lung...but, being positive, he is quarantined by the health dept. Doctor wants him out and about walking and exercising to clear up the lung, Health Dept says no, you are still coughing, stay inside...the fight goes on...

Bill sorry to hear about your sons struggle. I have a friend whose daughter who is 18 have similar struggle. Pneumonia and she has an auto immune issue her whole life. Turns out not corona but terrible lung issue. Battled thru it and she getting better. In and out of ER, had a hospital stay etc. but out of the woods now, I pray your son gets out of woods soon if has not already.

Tom is home but still testing positive so cannot go back to work. Still having breathlessness issues, but otherwise OK, says he feels like he is having asthma all the time...

I've read anecdotal reports that lying down on your stomach (pronating) makes breathing easier for people with COVID-19. Personally I had the flu in early 2018, and discovered kinda by accident that this helped reduce the feeling of congestion in my lungs.

Re. shopping: I've done all my shopping since early March at the local Target via their app. I place an order, they let me know when the items have been collected & bagged, then I drive over & park in one of the pickup spots. One of the Target folks (wearing a mask) wheels my stuff out in a shopping cart, drops it in my car's rear hatch and scans a barcode on my phone. Done. I can't buy everything they carry using this service…no perishables for instance. But I can get everything I need.

I have a couple N95 masks left over from work I was doing in my dusty attic a few years ago. I haven't worn either one, though, 'cuz I bought a pair of cloth masks with filter pouches awhile back along with a few packs of PM2.5 (N95 level) filters. These aren't as effective at keeping virus from getting in as a properly-fitted N95 mask, but they're pretty darn good at keeping it from getting out.

Bill, sorry to hear about Tom's illness. It's a mean and nasty virus and takes its time about leaving. Friend of mine in Atlanta has been home for a week now after 24 days hospitalized. Tested negative twice at this point, but has asthma trouble and also spikes a fever, which he has to report to the hospital any time it goes above 100. It just seems to linger and he's so tired all the time. Thinking good thoughts, my friend!! (y)

Thanks all, he seems to be getting better, talking about guitars and stereo equipment now...but still somewhat breathless, and because his last test still positive, home from work.
