Yeah....the adclaimed it was a 15...In spite of the failed designof the neck block it sure was a premium offering.

It came in. Here's some pix.

Advertised as virtually new. Uh..no. I can live with the pick marks and minor flaws but not sure about the saddle.

Very low. Is this common to the breed, (yeah I'm trying to justify it).

Is it just the high E that's low, beecee? That definitely looks low, but the rest of it looks normal to me... You should slack the strings and take the saddle out. Might be they've removed the under-saddle transducer. Or, maybe they've shaved the saddle incorrectly. Either way, it all depends on how the previous owner set it up, beecee. I would just say that if the high E is hard to fret with the saddle that low, then that could be a sign of neck alignment trouble and might be more of a concern than just fashioning a new saddle for it (which is not a big deal).

It sure looks nice to me, beecee, but it all depends on how YOU feel about it.

No she plays great. Even with that 1 3/4 nut it's an easy player. I'm thinking of some D'Addario custom lights as the mediums that are on it sure drive the top but like a slightly thinner high string.

Ebony fret board needs a good dose of mineral oil.

How is the action with the current set up? If the action is good then the saddle may be quite Ok. How tall is the combined saddle and bridge? Is it closer to 1/2 or 3/8 ?
