I lost out on a well priced 45th Anniversary, maple F30 sized the other day. The striping on the back of that neck will haunt me forever.

Looking for something similar as in higher end, G shield, ebony board with inlays. Dread or F bodied, big or small....though an Orch size seems compelling Not interested in an F50 as the JF 30 would probably send it running.

Really looking for some wow maple figuring on the back and hopefully neck too. Sound is key of course but I want to drool over it as well...

Hope it's ok to say but I would trade for anything in my sig as well save for the D40 or JF30

Edit: I'll be running around a lot this weekend so I may not be very responsive.

Hey there beecee, my experience though limited with maple guitars is that I think they do better in the larger sizes than the F30/OM size. Of course it all depends on the actual guitar. Something like a nice F40 maple arch back in the traditional 16” bout size might be ideal for you. Another would be an F44 or GF60M

Yeah, I was going to mention an F-47M.
That was going to be my suggestion as well. I'm sorry you missed out on the 45th Anniversary, beecee. Not meaning to rub it in, but it really is an exceptionally beautiful and great-sounding guitar. Good luck with your hunt.

I have been thinking about letting this 1977 F50SB go. I know you said no F50s but it's the only thing I have that meets part of your criteria. Neck and sides are relatively plain but the back is nicely figured. There is a pickup installed that's hidden and the truss rod cover is not original but other than that there are no repairs or issues. If you are interested feel free to message me privately for more details!

Wow....That back sure beats a striped neck. Stunning guitar, but I'm really looking slightly smaller what with an F412, JF30 and JF30-12 in da house.

Not sure.....let me sleep on it....not that I ever sleep!

I talked myself into this for a few reason.

1. Don't own a Tacoma build...and probably one of the last from there as it's advertised as a 2015:p
2. It has the G Shield...I like that style, I know some don't.
3. First Florentine I own.
4. Drop dead gorgeous.

I've played a few over the years and while I don't like 1 3/4 nuts these I could deal with.....shallow neck from what I remeber.

NGD when it arrives.

Agreed. Very nice choice beecee. It is drop dead gorgeous in every respect. I hope it gives you what you are looking for. If not it should be an easy sell.

Yeah....the adclaimed it was a 15...In spite of the failed designof the neck block it sure was a premium offering.

Quite the specs!
