I have a vintage Guild HSC and need help confirming what model it is made for. What forum do you suggest I post in? Thanks!

Welcome aboard tt. Misc is as good a place as any to talk about a case since it really isn't covered elsewhere. Pictures would be the easiest way to get your case identified quickly.

Welcome to the forum. We are less organized here. Just post a pic and the dimensions.

Welcome Tiny Toad! First poster! ^^^Yep, a photo and rough dimensions would help greatly.
Are you looking for a Guild to put into that case? You came to the right place too. :rugby:

Thanks everybody, the Guild I want won't fit this one! Interior length 44". lower bout width 15", upper bout 11" and about 3" deep.

Happy 7/4 to y'all!
So any clues about the case? Shallow enough it must be for a hollow body electric like the Starfire. 44" long though...I was told an old Starfire bass was too big by the previous owner. This thing is essentially unused, no impressions of a guitar on the lining.

Welcome. I'll confirm that it doesn't look like a Starfire bass case but I can look at mine and make a couple measurements to confirm when I am home.

Maybe one of the FS models. Just something about the shape of the case looks different, but it may be the angle.

Well that was some timing! If it wasn't for a Starfire, what other semi hollow guitars could be that close? Did body proportions of Starfires' vary over the years? Also what period would this be with that version of the Guild logo?. Questions questions questions...

The '01 list on WesterlyGuildguitars is the only one I know of, but it doesn't show a "4521". Actually at first I thought that was a good number for a dreadnought case but I was mistaken.
Starfire type case seems like a good deduction. Also, by '01, unlike the dreadnought cases, it wouldn't have been the same case anymore, which explains why it's not on the list.

In the mid seventies the case number for a deluxe dread case was 4520...maybe this is a case for the early/mid eighties DS48CE...which is dread shaped...unless the pics are distorted angle, it has to be a dread shape...not F shape...the other features of the case are similar to the ones for the FS series...like the one in my avatar... Grot has a DS48CE...you might ask him if he has the original case for it and could he make a comparison...

Forgot the tape measure by my Starfire bass case which is circa 1977 has a similar label that says 4516B from which I am willing to conclude that the case in question is either not a 70's case or not a Starfire case.
