Always thought their version of It's All Over Now Baby Blue was brilliantly done, and Baby Please Don't Go is something I still put on frequently for a spin. Don't know exactly why, but I never cared for Brown Eyed Girl. However, Moondance & Tupelo Honey were again first-rate, and Domino is a song I always look forward to hearing.I love all of Them's stuff! (I know, it sounds ungrammitical.)
Wow, interesting. When I saw him I think early-mid 90’s he was nothing like that. Pretty quiet with only minimal dialog with the audience, but seemed appreciative of the crowd and put on a terrific performance. Maybe in part there was some kind of substance abuse earlier in his career.Always thought their version of It's All Over Now Baby Blue was brilliantly done, and Baby Please Don't Go is something I still put on frequently for a spin. So I've appreciated Morrison's work since the very beginning, but have to say, I saw him live at a small venue in the early '70s, and he did indeed come off as a complete A-hole. He gave the distinct impression that he thought he was God's gift to the universe, mumbled everything into the microphone, was rude to the audience, and I would imagine was either drunk or stoned. Maybe just a bad night, but it was really kind of ugly.
