Oh, I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of. Any advanced picking figure or finger picked tune is a good reason for making misstakes. E.g my new one, Pictures Of a Bird, (hm... not a lady this time ;) ) is a pretty fast shuffle underlying melody that is repeated a number of times and I just can't play the full figure at full speed without making misstakes. Quite funny actually, the first couple of rounds are pretty clean and tight. Then I begin to stumble, or I simply simplify the figure to keep up to pace. I think it's a natural part of the process with any song and one just has to find a different way of practice by trying to understand why a certain misstake occurs.
