Hi All, Here's the project we've got to do. We need to get the goop (leftover pickguard adhesive) off from my new (92) D-4 NT. I took the pick guard off because it was a replacement and was starting to curl on the edges. There's no HR on my sticker so it's probably not a Hand rubbed finish. Y'all know it is a plain natural finish with no shine. I'm not going to touch it until I get some advice from my friends here at LTG. Thanks in advance,
Limmy
PS I love it. It's my 3rd one. It has a thinline pickup installed in it. So some John Pierce lights are goin on it as soon as we get it cleaned up.

Naptha (also know as lighter fluid) will take the goo off without damaging the finish.

I've taken off a couple of pick guards.

Hi again guys and thanks CJG for the advice. I guess I got alittle overly passionate while describing my feelings about the new acquisition, the D-4. It's allright you guys, I can take it. Anyway, I'll always be a regular at this site. And, probly will always place my foot securely in my mouth from time to time.
