Any suggestions for a replacement other than trying to track down an original? I gig with this so I need to get her up and playing again soon! The thinner body limits the choices.
Thanks in advance LTG community!

Well that sucks. My F30ce is an amazing guitar. I was playing it today. I would look into something by Seymour Duncan as the DTAR systems that Guild used are essentially Seymour Duncan designs.

Oh, and I think I recall reading somewhere that for the components that fit around the sound hole you need to make sure they will fit so get the specs. A tip for smaller guitars was to look at the nylon string version instead of the steel string version, the only key difference being the sound hole diameter profile.

Thanks, Mikey. I was trying to stay away from sound hole pickup, though.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. They make an under saddle pickup similar what is on the F30. I think it is the Wavelength Solo. They also have a control component you can add to manage tone/volume that attaches to the underside perimeter of the soundhole. That is what you need to measure and make sure the bracing doesn’t get in the way.

They also make the Duo ( under saddle + condenser mic) that comes with a similar control component that manages the mix between the two mics. Guild used that on some higher end models.

Hello Paul,

Do you know if it's the transducer or the pre-amp that's 'crapped out' on your F-30CE?

If it's the pre-amp I can probably help you out with an original one!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Yeah, first you need to ascertain what's wrong... it might be something simple.
