Hi There, this is my first post on your forum, I have Guild GAD 50 which iv had for about 6 months now, and i must say what a stunning guitar it is fantastic sound quality wise, build, weight etc, i canrt fault it for ther price i paid. I use it mainly for recording purposes, i Mic it up with a studio condenser Mic, and it never fails to give me great tone wether finger picked or strummed.
when i was testing out guitars up to £800 i played Martins and taylors before choosing the Guild, it just had that certain something, that was lacking in the entry models by the other big two, the only one that came close was a tiny Martin which had amazing sound quality when strummed but was like 3/4 size or something and was joined at the 12th fret, so was just way to small for me, so the Guild won out in every department, and incidentally was cheaper than its rivals, as you will probably know the hard cases Guild make are really great quality, it is as good as the Gibson case on my Les Paul.

Sure i know there are many more expensive acoustic guitars, but i will only venture into the £2000 or above catagory once i am making a living from playing the guitar, meanwhile the Guild suits my style of playing perfectly, intrestingly the great Singer songwriter Nick Drake used a Guild M20 (not the most expensive of Models) and if you know his records you will appreciate how good even a lower priced guild can sound in the hands of a master musician. :D

Oh by the way, the guitar i am holding in my Photo is an Antonio Lauriente-Carmen (flamenco Guitar)
