Hey guys. I have been lurking for a while and always stumble on this site from time, but I finally joined. I picked up a 1974 Guild F112 this pack weekend. I love it! I haven't hardly been able to put it down. It has some wear from being 35yrs old, but nothing seems to be wrong structurally. The action is good...maybe a hair high after the 12th fret, but it still plays like a dream. Anyway just wanted to say hey...and here are a couple of pictures...

Welcome. Nice score. And +1 for including pix in your first post!

Thanks...I think it was a nice score too. I actually picked it from a guy who posts here on occasion...Can't remember his screen name because I found it on the AGF website where I am member...a Taylor 714ce is my main player, but this Guild is definitely getting some playing time. It is like a small cannon. I can't believe the sound it has!

Welcome, Dave! Nice guitar, hard to put down, isn't it? And it reinforces my opinion that Guild used the prettiest Mahogany :D

Beautiful guitar, nice score! Does that have an under saddle pickup by any chance? If so, you probably acquired it from LTG member "Dynomohm". I was very tempted by that one!
Welcome to LTG & enjoy.

I hope you get as much out of it as I've gotten out of my F-212. Guild has made some truly magnificent 12s over the years.

That is the one. Chris was real easy to work with. We only live a couple of hours from each other, so it was easy for us to meet in the middle. I tried it out literally on the side of the road near the GA/FL border. Kind of funny actually.

Welcome to LTG! It’s a great group here, but I’m sure you’ve noticed that already.
Have you taken the not at all official Guild owners oath? Just raise your right hand and repeat after me:
“My Guild I will play…everyday.
It is the best…who needs the rest!”
Very good!
Now since you won’t be playing the Taylor anymore, I’ll give you my shipping address.
Again welcome, and enjoy the music on whatever you play.
A word of warning though, you may find Guilds to be like potato chips…you can’t stop at one! :D
