So Rich Cohen told me to keep going to a lake and then drop in.

But seriously, I'm going to buy a couple of guitars and see if I can get some sound from them. As some of you know (but only if you're cool) my hands now have tremors, so I can't play no mo'. (And "no mo'" is my favorite tune.) But I think I might be able to struggle through a chord or scale just to hear the instrument. I won't be building up a collection again, but just a couple of axes. Maybe a couple of guitars too.

Soooooo...what kind of guitars are you thinking? We're great at spending other people's money here, as you well know.

Nice to see you back, and to hear you're planning to try playing. I'm really sorry to hear about the tremors. Maybe playing will help improve that situation. I have terrible arthritis stuff going on in me right hand fingers but they can still play as well, or as poorly.
